Buyers on the hunt for a prestigious beach home will be spoiled for choice with the new Royale Gold Coast development on Northcliffe Terrace.

“Coastal areas in Queensland have been performing well in recent months,” Flaherty says.

“But both Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach are areas that receive a lot of the interest.

“This is because they’re well known by people from overseas as well as interstate and are where people might move permanently or want to purchase holiday apartments.”

A new breed of developments is attracting luxury apartment buyers to the heart of the Gold Coast. Data from realestate.com.au shows a 300% increase in sales of $3 million-plus apartments on the Gold Coast over the 12 months to September ’21 compared to the prior 12-month period, with a 367% increase in luxury apartment sales in Surfers Paradise.

Given the beach access, great weather and amenity, interest in the area is also not likely to slow down — especially in Surfers Paradise, where views per listing have jumped 40% in the six months to November ’21.

Exclusive location

Connecting Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach along the foreshore is Northcliffe Terrace, arguably one of the Gold Coast’s most elite beach strips.

Lined with luxury residential towers, it is a peaceful neighbourhood of absolute beachfront where property is highly sought, says Adrian Parsons, managing director at TOTAL Property Group.

“Northcliffe Terrace is where you find a lot of really special beachfront apartment buildings,” Parsons says.

“We are seeing a completely new standard of luxury premium apartments, such as Royale Gold Coast, further elevating this exclusive area.”

Nearby features include the well-known Northcliffe Surf Club — a popular place for locals to socialise. There’s also a tram stop, plenty of amenity, cafes and restaurants.

Foreshore living

In prime position on this elite beachside boulevard is Royale Gold Coast by DD Living.

Designed by DKO Architecture, it promises unique high-end luxury and will help buyers make a stylish entry into this tightly held foreshore market, Parsons explains.

“The standout feature is the absolute beachfront of the site, which is incredibly rare to come by these days,” he says.

“The size of the site has allowed the architects to make sure that every apartment faces northeast – which is generally considered the perfect aspect for living. The apartments have also been designed to face the ocean, so the views are outstanding from every property.”

The development comprises of 104 apartments with two, three and four bedrooms. There is a collection of full-floor and half-floor penthouses, a spacious beach homes series, and a top floor double-storey penthouse.

“This is going to be a game-changer for the quality of beachfront developments that we see on the Gold Coast and sales and inquiries have been strong already with over $160m of apartments already sold,” Parsons adds.

New levels of lifestyle

Meticulously planned, Royale Gold Coast has everything a buyer could want or need in their holiday apartment or second home.

Surrounding the tower’s base are two swimming pools, lagoon-style pool and a 20-metre heated pool to cater for year-round swimming.

The Royale Gold Coast Beach Club also has a spa, cabanas, daybeds, outdoor showers and surfboard store facility.

The Royale Wellness Centre features an exclusive gymnasium, spa, sauna and steam room.

A suite of other perks on offer includes surfboard storage, dog washing station, concierge, library, meeting rooms, workspaces, private residents dining room, catering kitchen, executive lounge and bar with private whiskey and wine lockers.

To top it off, there’s an expansive oceanfront terrace where residents can mingle with a cocktail, and on the ground floor, there’s Café Royale for weekend breakfast catchups.

And if that’s not enough, Royale Concierge has its own offering and array of personalised services to suit the most discerning owner, Parsons says.

Internally, the residences feature luxury bespoke craftmanship designed by award-winning Mim Design, taking prestige private residences to the next level, Parsons says.

He adds that all apartments feature large terraces, known as ‘Loggias’, designed to provide all weather, year round indoor-outdoor entertaining and living space.  Buyers are able to personalise their apartment with a wide range of optional Items, such as outdoor BBQ with drinks fridge, basement storage and TV cabinetry with surround sound system.

“They’re a practical design but also sophisticated, blending with the laid-back Gold Coast lifestyle,” Parsons says.
